So, what does it all mean for you, our friends in the EU ? ...Actually not much has changed in practise with regards to ordering from us here in the UK. Instead of paying UK VAT ( the name for the UK version of sales tax or TVA ) we will now ship to you with VAT removed and you will be asked to pay your local rate of VAT by whatever delivery service you chose and the amount will go directly to your own government. That is in fact exactly what used to happen behind the scenes while the UK was a EU member but now you have more visibility where the tax portion of your purchase goes.

If you are placing a new order and delivery is urgent or time critical please consider using one of the expedited or courier delivery options. Couriers are very busy but generally we are not seeing any unexpected delays.
The vast majority of parcels sent via Royal Mail are being delivered promptly but a small proportion are suffering considerable delays.
Due to a perfect storm of increased online shopping, covid working restrictions cause staffing shortages and the seasonal peak there are parts of the Royal Mail network which are overwhelmed at the moment so the usual delivery targets are suspended.
Before contacting us please check the status of your shipment via the Royal Mail tracking portal using the tracking number provided when we confirmed dispatch. If your parcel shows the status "An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item" then it has been acknowledged as being received into the Royal Mail system but has yet to be processed for delivery. In some cases there may be a delay before this status is shown so it is worth checking again the next day.
If your parcel shows a "delivered" status but you have not received it the most likely reason is that it has been left with another household member, neighbour or in your designated safe place.

One of the great advantages of being a small family run business is that we can carry on shipping even during lockdown. If the kids are getting under your feet or you want to treat them or just because, then we are here to help you get through this and will do our utmost to spread a little cheer :)
Goods in and goods out are subject to Covid safe working practices and we keep contact with delivery staff to an absolute minimum. Stock is stored in our own facility and not handled unnecessarily. To remain secure, we are not accepting personal callers to collect orders for the time being.
Currently all our suppliers have implemented safe working practices and are replenishing our stock on a regular basis as per normal. We hold significant stock ourselves so currently there is no problem completing orders on time as normal.
In some locations post is taking a little longer to be delivered than normal so please allow a day or two extra but if you need something urgently we do offer expedited shipping options too. Most carriers will not currently require a signature for delivery and will simply leave a parcel on the doorstep and step away after knocking or ringing on your door to ensure you remain as safe as possible. The vast majority of our parcels ship in a plastic bag that can easily be disinfected before opening if you wish.
